Values and Ethos
Our school motto 'Working together, achieving together' incorporates the inclusive nature of our school with its EMP Base (Enhanced Mainstream Provision) for pupils with physical disabilities. We encourage all children whatever their specific needs and dreams to make the most of new opportunities in order to equip them to be resilient learners and be prepared for the challenges of their future lives. Our curriculum is based on developing key skills in English and maths and also incorporates a creative, enquiry based topic approach through which the foundation subjects are taught.
We believe that all children learn best when they feel safe, secure, happy and valued. With those things in mind, we strive to provide a caring and stimulating environment with an exciting curriculum which will engage all pupils. We are very proud of our achievements in all areas and also our close community of pupils, staff, parents and governors. We believe very firmly that parents and school must work together for the benefit of each and every child. Families are encouraged to join with us on many occasions - whether to help at school fairs, watching sports teams or to attend one of our many musical or drama performances.
This website aims to provide you with a flavour of our school and also to give you updated information about the school and events taking place. We hope you enjoy your visit and find the information you are looking for, please contact the school if you need anything further.
Visitors often comment on the friendly, welcoming and caring atmosphere which they experience from a trip to our school. We hope you will agree. Please ring to make an appointment if you would like to know more or to arrange a visit to look around yourself. You will be most welcome.
