Returning to School - January 5th 2021
We would like to take the opportunity to wish all of our families a happy new year and hope you have all had a lovely Christmas break.
In light of recent announcements from various unions and a review of staffing levels, we have made the difficult decision to reopen for critical workers' children and vulnerable children only from tomorrow Tuesday 5th January. An email has been sent out to all parents and carers asking those who meet the criteria (set out in the Government's critical worker or vulnerable group list) to contact the school by 5pm this evening either via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by ringing the school 0191 5862765. (Please leave a message on the answer machine if the line is busy and you are unable to access the email). If you qualify for a critical worker / vulnerable pupil place we will respond to you via text or email. We understand that this is an anxious time and we apologise that this change comes to you at such short notice. Online learning will continue from tomorrow for all children working at home via the Purple Mash platform. Please get in touch if you are having difficulty accessing this and we will do our best to help you. Our aim is for all children to continue their education whether at school or at home. Hopefully this will be a short term alteration, we will review the situation regularly and update you of any changes as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
