Engineering Event at Caterpillar

27 July at 9.30 - 3.30 - family event

The Institution of Engineering and Technology is running its second Engineering Open House Day this summer – with local, free events.

Does your child enjoy subjects like maths, science, technology and design at school? Are they creative with a strong interest in how things work? Could they be a future engineer?

Engineering Open House Day is a fun day out for you and your children, offering a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at a number of high-profile venues and organisations in London (and across the UK) to see the important role engineers play in everyday life – and find out more about what a career in engineering is really like. Examples include Sky News, the BBC, National Theatre, V&A Museum and Tower Bridge.

There is a local event taking place at Caterpillar Peterlee on 27 July at 9.30am to 3.30pm

Both parents and children of all ages are welcome, and can book places by visiting: http://www.engineer-a-better-world.org/engineering-open-house-day/.
